District Project Office has been established in DIET having Principal DIET as District Project Officer. The Deputy Director (Elementary Edu) is the ex-officio District Project Coordinator of the district SSA. The District Project Coordinator is assisted by Principal, District Institute of Education and Training.  He/ She shall have the powers and responsibilities to carry out the various initiatives for Universalisation of Elementary Education in consultation with the Deputy Director (Elementary & Higher Edu.) under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner who is the chairman of district SSA, subject to entitlement, jurisdictional competence and delegation of financial and administrative powers as decided by the Executive committee of the HPPES. Staffing pattern, in DPO is as follows as decided by executive committee in SSA (State level) in its 14th meeting on 21-03-2002.
